I read a few perspectives on Web 2.0 and the future of libraries. It was interesting. I agree with the idea that libraries have changed dramatically in the past decade. In my job I am getting used to thinking in new ways as far as how to help patron gain access to information and materials. The idea that Library 4.0 will not replace Library 1.0 - Library 3.0, that it will absorb them, is profound. Its not that information will be lost or obsolete, instead, what was learned before will be built upon in future libraries.

Technorati reminds me of our own public catalog where you search by keyword. However, it seems that Technorati is more user-friendly.

I explored a site called eSnips that allows you to email pictures, music, and videos to other people. I sent a cute picture of a cartoon bird. I would post the picture on my blog but I don't know how to send it from my email. Oh well, maybe later...

I had fun playing around with an image generator. I found a favorite picture of Snoopy and added it to my blog. Can't wait to go back to explore more pictures of Snoopy and his gang!

I created a place for my Blogroll which is really cool because I can go right to the RSS feeds I'm interested in right from my blog. I also looked at a few library related blogs.

Technology you say?This is the year I want to get a laptop. I've got to catch up with technology. It would make life so much easier to have my own laptop and internet access at home.
